Incorporated in 1985, the Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital (CEEH) Foundation exists to collect and administer donations for CEEH of Bluewater Health.
Since its inception, over $2.5 million has been raised in support of building and maintenance projects and hospital equipment, and assisted in physician recruitment activities.
Annually, the Foundation assists students from LCCVI High School in Petrolia through the Shabsove Award for Nursing Bursary. This award was initiated by Dr. Harold Shabsove, a retired family physician who practiced in Petrolia for over 37 years. The student receives $1,000 to support their nursing education with the requirement that they return to practice in Ontario.
