We challenge ourselves at Bluewater Health to meet the stringent demands of operational and service excellence. The scope of this challenge reaches far beyond the clinical and technical aspects of healthcare. We are committed to creating the best community hospital in Ontario through the creation of a workplace that supports and recognizes everyone’s value, efforts and contributions.
We pride ourselves on being a community partner, and many of our staff is involved in annual community events/activities such as the United Way, Big Bike Ride for Heart and Stroke, and the Sarnia Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade. Bluewater Health staff members have organized various charitable events, such as the annual Christmas Gift Drive to support for local area students with back-to-school supplies, among others.
We understand the need for a balanced lifestyle, and to that end, Bluewater Health staff enjoy various celebrations throughout the year such as staff BBQ’s, social teas and other events.
We celebrate our staff each year at the annual Employee & Physician Service Recognition Ceremony, where we recognize service levels for all doctors and staff members at 5 year increment levels. It is not uncommon to be celebrating the service of 35 and 40 year recipients!
Each year we also recognize our staff, physicians and volunteers through our Bridging Excellence Awards. This awards program recognizes individuals and teams for their contribution, dedication and commitment to excellence in their work to deliver exemplary healthcare to the Sarnia-Lambton community. To be nominated for one of these awards is an honour in itself. To be a recipient of one of these pinnacle awards is the highest level of recognition one can achieve in their career at Bluewater Health. There are five award recipients in three categories - Mission Award, Vision Award, Values Award.
