Cystoscopy Clinic

The Cystoscopy Clinic at Bluewater Health is a 'day clinic' and patients can go home or return to work after their procedures.

The clinic provides cystoscopy exams; a cystoscopy is a five to 10-minute procedure that allows a urologist to visualize the urethra and the urinary bladder through a cystoscope (a thin tube with a tiny camera at the end). The urologist uses this instrument to look inside your bladder. Usually the procedure causes very little discomfort. Prior to the procedure, a numbing medication will be placed into your urethra so you have less discomfort when the cystoscope is passed into your bladder.

Services through the Cystoscopy Clinic are provided by three urologists and specially-trained and skilled nursing staff.
