STOP Smoking Program

Do You Want to Quit Smoking?

Bluewater Health is now offering the Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients (STOP) Program. This program is available to the community, as well as Bluewater Health patients and staff.

It’s completely free. We have partnered with The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) to bring this program to clients and patients. The STOP Program is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and is a province-wide initiative that aims to help individuals reduce or quit their tobacco use.

This is an outpatient service. If you are currently an inpatient, you can schedule an appointment prior to discharge to connect with us at a later date.

This service is offered by the Addictions Outpatient Services team, located on sixth floor of the Russell Building at Bluewater Health.

How Does the STOP Program Work?

Participants are eligible for up to 26 weeks of free nicotine replacement therapy including:

  • Patches
  • Gum
  • Inhalers
  • Lozenges
  • Counseling

For more information and to book your appointment, please call: (519) 464-4400 ext. 5370
