Kirk Wilson

Director

Kirk joined the Bluewater Health Board of Directors in June 2019 after completing a one-year term as a Non-Director Committee Member. He is a member of the Quality and Governance and Nominating Committees.

Prior to his retirement, Kirk’s career in engineering spanned multiple locations in North America in various sectors, culminating with his position as Senior Vice President and Head of Bayer Technology Services for North and South America headquartered in Houston, Texas. He is a member of Ontario Professional Engineers, the Canadian Society of Chemical Engineering (CSChE), and Chemistry in Canada.

Kirk has served terms on both the Board of Directors for the Sarnia YMCA and YMCA across Southwestern Ontario. He is also a past Director of the CSChE. In addition he has volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Diabetes, Heart & Stroke and Kidney foundations.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from Acadia University and a Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.

Kirk is active in health and fitness and enjoys traveling, reading and sports. He has two adult children from his late wife, Eileen. Together with his wife, Barb, they now have five adult children and seven grandchildren.
