Margaret Dragan

Margaret became involved with the Bluewater Health Board of Directors when she was appointed as a non-director committee member on the Resource Utilization and Audit Committee (RUAC) in June 2013. She was appointed to the Board of Directors in June 2015, and has since served on all Board Sub-Committees, and as Treasurer of the Board and Chair of the Resource Utilization and Audit Committee. In June 2020, Margaret was appointed Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors and is currently a member of the Quality Committee, the Resource Utilization and Audit Committee, and the Governance and Nominating Committee.

Margaret has been a Sarnia resident since 1978. Her early career was in the local petrochemical industry, where she held successively more senior positions in Finance, Information Technology and Human Resources. She joined Lambton College in 1996 as Vice-President Finance & Administration, the position from which she retired in 2019.  

Over the years, Margaret has volunteered with numerous charities.  She currently serves on the Boards of the Sarnia Community Foundation and The Inn of the Good Shepherd in the role of Treasurer.  Margaret is also a Director of Bluewater Power. 

Margaret is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA CA) and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo. She and her husband Ed have two daughters and three grandchildren.
