As Vice-President of Operations for Bluewater Health and with over 30 years of healthcare experience, Laurie is accountable for a diversified portfolio of corporate, clinical and support services. She brings a strong understanding of local health challenges and priorities, and recognizes the broader strategic trends in healthcare policy, integration and system development. A trusted, collaborative and consultative professional, she has a proven record of leading and facilitating excellence in health system planning, service delivery and process/performance improvements. These qualities are currently showcased with her work as co-executive sponsor of the No One Waits (NOW) initiative, executive sponsor for the Bluewater Health Indigenous Partnership, community integrated capital planning with the Town of Petrolia and Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital of Bluewater Health, and numerous community partners in Sarnia-Lambton.

Originally a Registered Nurse in critical care, Laurie has a Master's of Science in Leadership and Management. She is passionate about patient and family-centred care, often speaks at provincial and national conferences, and serves on the Central Lambton Family Health Team Board of Directors.
