Paula Reaume-Zimmer is the President and CEO of Bluewater Health. Paula has held unique leadership roles in her previous positions as Integrated Vice President. For the past seven years, Paula’s integrated leadership has included a focused effort on systems integration between acute care and community. She has held an integrated leadership position as Vice President between Bluewater Health and Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton-Kent, and for the past two years, she has also had the opportunity to lead in community support services in her integrated role of VP, Bluewater Health and CEO, Lambton Elderly Outreach.

Paula is known and respected both locally and provincially for her leadership, expertise and passion for collaborative and cross-sectoral approaches to integrated service delivery and system outcomes. Her professional career began in nursing as an inpatient psychiatric nurse, and she has held various roles in mental health & addictions and emergency services. Throughout her career in healthcare, Paula has demonstrated her commitment toward advocating for marginalized populations and inclusive practices.

Paula has had the privilege of supervising many adult learners, from high school students and front line staff, to post graduate and medical learners. Her passion for education and mentoring continues to inspire her own commitment to lifelong learning. She has earned her Doctorate in Health Administration (DHA) from Central Michigan University, with her research focus on Transitional Age Youth Mental Health Services. Paula is also an alumni of the University of Toronto Rotman, Advanced Health Leadership Program.
