Things to Know

Corporate Orientation is dedicated to learning about our organization and meeting new colleagues. We are looking forward to meeting with you. Here are a few suggestions for making your day comfortable.

  • What do I need to bring?
    • Bring a jacket or light sweater, just in case the room is cool. 
  • Will food be provided?
    • ​​Coffee, tea and water will be available throughout the day. A pizza lunch, with vegetarian options, will be provided.
  • What time do I need to arrive?
    • Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to the Auditorium to get settled in your seat.   
      • Speakers start promptly at 0830 hrs. 
  • Where do I park? 
    • Staff Parking Pass - Enter your assigned lot with your ID badge. 
    • ​Visitor Parking  -  $8.00/day 
  • What do I wear?
    • Business casual or uniforms.
    • Your Photo ID Badge
  • ​How do I find out about my work schedule?
    • ​Your manager will contact you regarding your schedule


Orientation starts at 8:30 am and is held in the Auditorium, 2nd floor, London Building 

  • Directions to the Auditorium  
    • From the Front Door: turn right and go past Tim Hortons to the Atrium stairs.  Take the stairs to the second floor, walk past the elevators and turn left at the end of the hall.  When you get to the next set of elevators turn to the right and make a quick left into the lobby and continue down the hall to the Auditorium, which will be on your left. 
    • From Underground Parking: Take the elevator to Level 2. Turn left and make a quick left into the lobby and continue down the hall to the Auditorium, which will be on your left. 


Elearning Checklist

The Bluewater Health Learning Hub is a flexible, web-based learn-on-demand system that allows staff to complete required courses in a way that suits their individual schedules.  After you have been provided with your login, you can access the BWH Learning Hub anytime, day or night, from work or home. If you are interrupted during a course, the system allows you to return where you left off, even days later.

A login is required to access the courses.

Your login will be provided at corporate orientation.

Please complete the full list of courses within your first 30 days of work.

Policies and Procedures Checklist

The Bluewater Health Policy and Procedure Management System (BWH PDMS) is the home of our policies, procedures and related documents. During the orientation process, you will be asked to review the policies below and provide us with a "Read Confirmation" indicating that you acknowledge and will adhere to the content. The policies are provided below for reference and as an opportunity to get a head start on reading. You will be shown how to complete the Read Confirmation during the computer training section of orientation. 

A login is required to access the Read Assignments and Read Confirmations
