Bluewater Health and Community Partners Support the Most Fragile
SARNIA & PETROLIA – May 15, 2020 – Today Bluewater Health announces the 100% completion of COVID-19 testing in all Sarnia Lambton Retirement Homes and Long Term Care Homes. With twenty facilities to test, and 2665 tests completed, this was a significant undertaking in the local fight to track and control the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The COVID-19 assessments were done by a collaborative team with members from Bluewater Health; Lambton Public Health; Lambton County EMS’s Community Paramedic Program; Twin Bridges Nurse Practitioner Clinic; and the Central Lambton Family Health Team.
“I am very proud that the team was able to quickly support our most vulnerable community members who are residing in long term care and retirement homes,” says Mike Lapaine, President and CEO, Bluewater Health. “Working so closely with our community partners, we were all able to mobilize and coordinate our efforts to provide support where it was needed most.
