COVID-19 Outbreak at Bluewater Health Declared Over

SARNIA & PETROLIA – June 27, 2020 – Bluewater Health, in consultation with Lambton Public Health, has declared an end to the COVID-19 outbreak at the hospital. On June 17, an outbreak was declared when four staff tested positive from one unit.  

The unit, originally created to assist Vision Nursing Home with their COVID-positive patients, was closed on June 15, 2020. It has been 14 days since the last COVID-positive staff member began self-isolation from the outbreak. 

Bluewater Health is grateful for the support of all staff and professional staff, the COVID-19 swabbing team, and the community during this unprecedented time. 

Bluewater Health currently has no COVID-positive patients in acute care.
