SARNIA & PETROLIA – November 22, 2022 – Bluewater Health and Lambton Elderly Outreach leadership is proud to announce that it has appointed Lisa Regan as Vice President, Care Transitions, Bluewater Health & Chief Executive Officer, Lambton Elderly Outreach (LEO).

Regan, current Director of Emergency Services & Care Transitions at Bluewater Health, will succeed Integrated Executive and CEO of LEO, Paula Reaume-Zimmer, as she transitions to her newly appointed role as Incoming President & CEO of Bluewater Health.

Regan’s new integrated executive role will report to the President & CEO of Bluewater Health and the Board of Directors at LEO. The executive role assumes accountability for a diversified portfolio of corporate, clinical, and clinical support services – with an emphasis on external relations with community support service partners.

“Lisa is a wonderful fit for LEO. She has worked collaboratively with our organization in the past and is well positioned to lead our team in the provision of excellent community support services moving forward,” says Anita Trusler, Board Chair, Lambton Elderly Outreach. “She has the leadership, integrity, and innovation skills we need to build a strong integrated community care model in Sarnia-Lambton.”

“I’ve worked closely with Lisa over the years, including during the pivotal period of transitioning services to one hospital in Sarnia,” says Mike Lapaine, President & CEO of Bluewater Health. “During that time, she worked diligently with all hospital departments and effectively led a smooth transition plan for all patients and staff to the new hospital location. Her leadership style was always that of coach, mentor, and dedicated resource to her team and colleagues.”

Regan, a registered nurse, has held a decades-long career with Bluewater Health, having first started in Sarnia’s St. Joseph’s Hospital as an ICU nurse. She has held various leadership positions at Bluewater Health over the last 33 years. Most recently, Regan held the position of Director of Emergency Services and Care Transitions. Regan is commended for her dedication and commitment having led and overseen critical care and emergency services through the historically challenging years of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Lisa’s leadership and work over the years has exemplified a mindset of integration and partnership to optimize resources and streamline access to care for patients and families,” says Incoming President & CEO of Bluewater Health, Paula Reaume-Zimmer. “Having been in an integrated executive leadership role over the last several years, it was important to me that my successor had those partner relationships and that innovative spirit and experience to lead such a diversified role.”

Regan will start her new executive role on January 1, 2023. Bluewater Health is currently recruiting for Director, Emergency Services & Care Transitions.
