Outbreak declared on Cognitively Complex Continuing Care Unit

Bluewater Health, in consultation with Lambton Public Health, has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on the Cognitively Complex Continuing Care (CCCOG) unit in Sarnia, with five patients testing positive. At this time, less than five staff infections related to the outbreak have been identified.

Currently, one designated care partner is still being permitted per CCCOG patient. Designated care partners will be required to monitor daily for symptoms, and wear required PPE when present on the unit.

 Bluewater Health currently has 9 COVID-positive patients in hospital.
