SARNIA & PETROLIA – November 6, 2018 – Bluewater Health is pleased to announce the second round of We are Bluewater Health, a campaign designed to celebrate the outstanding individuals who make up the hospital’s community. A select number of extraordinary people were profiled, to share their personal stories as the faces of Bluewater Health.
We are Bluewater Health was inspired by the wildly popular social media phenomenon, Humans of New York. The local version of this initiative was created in 2017 to celebrate and recognize Bluewater Health staff, Professional Staff and volunteers in the community. Participants were chosen by the organization for going above and beyond in their roles at Bluewater Health and inspiring those around them every day. The campaign introduced many important members of the community to the public, and the huge success of its initial launch left people asking for more – inspiring another round of stories for Sarnia-Lambton to enjoy.
“The stories resonated with many people,” says Julia Oosterman, Chief, Communications and Public Affairs. “It can be quite moving for people to see their friends, family, and neighbours being recognized as important members of our community. This series always makes me proud to be at Bluewater Health.”
The photos, captured by photographers Bisi Alawode and Matt Dochstader, complement the authentic stories of each carefully selected individual. Readers are given a true sense of who these members of the community are, and every person in the We are Bluewater Health series is shown as an important part of Sarnia-Lambton. Subjects share their motivations for choosing to work in healthcare and explain their reasons for joining the Bluewater Health team. Viewers can expect to see familiar faces and read inspirational stories as they walk through the hospital, with every poster capturing a unique story.
Bluewater Health staff, Professional Staff and volunteers are proud to serve the Sarnia-Lambton community. We are Bluewater Health is a reminder that when great people work together to achieve a common goal, true community is found. Visit the Bluewater Health atrium across from Tim Hortons, and the Fountain Lobby on Level 2, London Building, in Sarnia to view the latest posters. They will also be on display throughout the Petrolia hospital.
