Living with Stroke

The Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Living with Stroke™ Program

Living with Stroke™ is an eight-week workshop for stroke survivors and caregivers. Participants meet once per week for two hours with a facilitator who will lead discussions around various topics. It is designed for stroke survivors to participate some time after they have negotiated the medical system and reside in the community.

Living with Stroke™ can provide you with tools and support to:

  • Improve your quality of life
  • Reduce the risk of another stroke
  • Participate in your recovery
  • Find the help you need to adjust to life after stroke

This workshop series is about engagement, adjustment and coping - it does not deal with medical management or rehabilitation.

To register for the Living with Stroke™ Program, please contact New Beginnings at 519-491-2668.

New Beginnings enhances the quality of life for survivors of acquired brain injury (ABI) including stroke, and their family members.  New Beginnings is committed to providing support and educational services for survivors and their families.
