Communication Disorders

Communication Disorders comprises Speech-Language Pathologists who work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to enhance rehabilitation and to improve quality of life for patients.

Speech-Language Pathologists assess, treat and monitor speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Services also include consultation, counselling and education to individuals, families and caregivers. Our goal is to help individuals communicate to the best of their abilities and to help make eating and drinking as safe as possible. Services are provided to adult individuals along the continuum of care – from acute through to continuing care and outpatient services.

A doctor’s referral is required for all of our services.
