Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists are health professionals that provide therapy based on engagement in meaningful activities of daily life (self-care skills, education, work or social interaction).  The goal of occupational therapy is to enable or encourage participation in such activities despite impairments or limitations in physical or mental functioning.

Occupational Therapy treatment may focus on a variety of activities including personal care, arm and hand function, mobility using a wheelchair, performing household/community tasks, preparing a return to work/school, and practicing cognitive (brain) exercises to improve overall function.
